Reasons Therapists get stuck in not getting back to EMDR:
- Clients have a familiarity with talk therapy and have a “cut groove” of how they participate in therapy.
- The client has gotten used to living with their trauma and are cautious about trying to work on healing. Consider the Physical Therapist Model of Care.
- You are battling the symptomology of PTSD.
- You are feeling your own lack of confidence and thus, hesitant to get the client back into EMDR.
