Empowerment is crucial in the healing process.  As your therapist, I want to empower you to become the person you want to be, to recover and move forward from the injuries you still carry.

My Approach to Therapy

I believe in the importance of making therapy a collaborative process.  Collaboration will help you feel empowered to make and embrace the best choices for your life.  

My goal is to create a therapeutic environment that feels safe, open, and nonjudgmental so that we can explore your needs and hopes for the future.  Together we can facilitate a therapeutic environment that will promote the interpersonal and intrapersonal changes that you are searching for in your life! 

I am passionate about working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, eating disorders/disordered eating, and those who are seeking healing from trauma. 

I use a variety of techniques to tailor therapy to your specific needs and goals:  

Specialized therapy approach include:

  • Experience working in professional settings including eating disorder treatment, autism, and domestic violence.

  • Gottman Therapy: For couples wanting to improve the overall health of their relationship.

  • EMDR:  Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing for healing from traumatic memories and experiences.

  • ACT:  Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.  Skill-based therapy for coping and emotional regulation.

  • CBT:  Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for changing maladaptive thought processes and behaviors.

  • Mindfulness Practice for finding balance and peace in the mind and spirit.
